Punta Libre is a frontier location near Miradero.

Bianca and Mary Pat each planned to take Doll Snips to the top of Punta Libre, although for different reasons; Bianca, for a picnic, and Mary Pat, to throw the doll over the edge.[1]

The foal Governor and his mother were attacked by a mountain lion on Punta Libre.[2]

After Spirit was injured by the mountain lion and needed to recover in the barn, Mr. Granger was worried that if Spirit were to trek all the way back to Punta Libre, he could set back his recovery.[3]

When the PAL returned from the circus, Maricela and Turo planned a meteor-watching picnic on Punta Libre.[4]
