Doll Snips

Doll Snips is a red-haired doll that Mary Pat, Bianca, and Snips found on the shelf of the general store; its resemblance to Snips was immediately apparent to each of them. Bianca found the doll "beautiful" while Mary Pat found the doll "horrible". Each child had plans to buy the doll after becoming rich from the gold mine, Bianca so she could always hold Snips next to her heart, Mary Pat to use whenever she wanted to practice her kicking, and Snips to give it to Señor Carrots, whom Snips thought could "hug it like a Snipsy Bear" whenever the donkey got lonely at night.[1]

Bianca also planned to take the doll to the top of Punta Libre for a picnic, while Mary Pat planned to take the doll to the top of Punta Libre and throw it over the edge. Meanwhile, Snips thought the doll would not go anywhere with either girl, "And I should know, 'cause he's me!" Maricela eavesdropped on the children and used her knowledge of the desire to buy Doll Snips to persuade them to tell her the location of the gold mine and let her be their boss of operations, for which in return she would let them have their share of gold immediately. She ended up dropping them into the mine and leaving them there.[1]

Snips later use it as a decoy to get Lucky in the well and later trap her.

The "gold" turned out to be fool's gold, and when Lucky managed to sell one pound of the gold to Mr. Winthrop to sell as souvenirs in his general store, she gave the proceeds to the children, telling them it was just enough to buy the Snips doll. The children rejoiced, and Snips claimed dibs on the doll's head.[1]

Lucky had one before it was eaten by Snips Jr. she and the PALs took care of.

The doll was seen at the store in the city on Spirit of Christmas.
