Volzepi are a Corona property variation of Zepi. In Spectrobes, they appear on the second area of the planet Genshi.
Appearance
Volzepi are Zepi that have been fused with magma. This has given them a bright yellow colouration and orange-red, gem-like rocks present on their backs. They have long bodies and asymmetrically sized back legs. This makes them walk in a peculiar way, when they move towards Rallen and the Spectrobes in order to attack.
Attack
Volzepi attack similarly to Zepice, by walking towards Rallen and the Spectrobes, stopping, and hurling the orange magma rocks off their backs in the direction of their foes. The magma explodes on impact with opponents or the ground. This means it can deal direct damage when it strikes a foe, or splash damage if it misses initially and hits the floor instead.
Strategy
While Volzepi has to launch its attack towards you, it isn't a very long-ranged attack, and can be countered by keeping the Krawl itself at bay with a ranged Spectrobe.
Trivia
- Volzepi are one of many Zepi variants that could be mistaken for being Rach variants, in Spectrobes and Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals; due to their longer body shapes which resemble Rach proportions.
