Muteela are a species of Krawl that appear in Spectrobes and Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals. They are a variant of Eela, and are of the Aurora property. In the first game, this Krawl only appears on Kollin while the planet is being invaded by Gyforma. In the second game, they appear on Ziba and both its moons.
Appearance
Muteela retain Eela's basic bipedal, humanoid body structure, but are instead colored green and black. However, the most apparent differences would be the pieces of weaponry and technology that have been fused onto this Krawl's body. The cannon-like weapon attached to their shoulder is the most notable, but other pieces of technology appear to be grafted all over them. The tech is similar to the NPP tech seen all over Kollin, which implies that this Krawl has fused with this technology during the invasion of Kollin.
Attacks
In the first game, Muteela attack by turning their shoulder to aim their cannon and firing an energy beam straight at foes.
In Beyond the Portals, they attack similarly, but use their cannon to launch an energy ball that flies in an arc and creates a large shockwave where it hits the ground.
Strategy
Muteela are one of the most difficult Eela variants to battle. In Spectrobes, their long ranged beam attack can extend across the battlefield and strike you before you even see the Krawl. It is recommended to get close and use melee Spectrobes, or combination attacks, to dispatch them in this game.
In Beyond the Portals, they aren't any easier, as their energy orb creates a dangerous shockwave when it hits the ground. Constantly applying damage to them, while avoiding their energy attacks, is the best option to defeat them.
