Cyrus is a non-playable character in Spectrobes and Beyond the Portals. He is an item collector.
In-Game Appearances
Spectrobes
Cyrus is first met on Nessa's colony, Lilton where he requests Rallen's help to take care of the Krawl vortexes blocking the way to Nessa Ruins. Once Rallen defeats the Krawl Cyrus asks Rallen to retrieve the blue keystone in the ruins in exchange for the Zeta cube. Later on in the game, Rallen needs the keystone back to power up the Ancient Starship, going to Cyrus, but he is reluctant to hand it back, blaming Professor Kate of stealing the first one. After a brief discussion Cyrus agrees to exchange it for one Diamond mineral, which is obtained by defeating the Krawl Trunkos on Table Top Mountains.
Beyond the Portals
Cyrus is met again on Area 1 of Nessa, where he waits in the back room of Eastside, Colony. Rallen confronts him on Commander Grant's orders to gather intel about the Krawl targeting the tower on Nessa, to which he demands that Rallen pay for his information, specifically one Diamond mineral. After the tower is destroyed and Rallen meets Cyrus again to report on his findings, he stays silent momentarily and then laughs, saying that Rallen "can't win them all". This leads Rallen to believe something is amiss. At this point Cyrus has a terminal for the Cyrus Express installed on the Patrol Cruiser without Rallen's permission.
Non-Game Appearances
Rise of the Ancient
Cyrus also appears in the second book Rise of the Ancient in which he plays a similar role to that in Spectrobes, demanding one Diamond mineral in exchange for the blue keystone needed to power the Ancient Starship. However, the book does not state how he came to posess the keystone initially. Rallen accuses Cyrus of sending someone to assassinate him after he was attacked by a caped dark figure while mining for the mineral on Genshi, but Cyrus denies this.
Trivia
- Cyrus is very identical to Dyrus in Origins, the billionaire that lives on Menahat, the desert planet similar to Nessa.
