Hedoron (ヘドロン?) is a kaiju that first appeared in "The Uncommon Enemy", ("Dr.Gori Targets Earth!") the first episode of Spectreman. It was created by Dr. Gori and became Spectreman's first opponent in the series. It's a kaiju made from pure sludge, waste and pollution as seen when it was killed

Origin
Hedoron was created by Dr. Gori from pure sludge and waste found in the Fuji Sea and was also given sentience. It lied dormant at the bottom of the sea absorbing as much pollution as possible until it's feeding was completed. It was then released to cause mayhem and destruction at the behest of Gori. There is some Sea Slug DNA within the beast as it's feeding form resembles the creatures from earth.
Intelligence
Hedoron is a semi-sentient kaiju with no visible displays of intelligence. Despite being created by Dr. Gori he is not directly controlled by him though It's smart enough to understand instructions and have it's own independent thought similar to that of Dogs. It does not have a personality in the typical sense
The Full extent of Hedoron's mental faculties is unknown, but from the evidence we can determine it's similar to that of Earth animals
Objective
Hedoron's Primary Objective was to destroy the Mount Fuji and subsequently The Human Race from existence so that Dr. Gori Could rule the planet alongside Hedoron. Though it is assumed that Gori does not mean alongside in the literal sense.

Design
- Base Form: Hedoron has an entirely dark grey body made out of sludge. It has a slug-like body with two legs upfront, a circular mouth with three large fangs, Yellow eyes that appear red in the morning, black hair draping around its head, and seven tentacles around the top of its head.
- Feeding Form: In his feeding form Hedoron resembles a sea slug with a Lime green and Black pattern on it. It has a white feeding apparatus with Multi-colored spots on it.
Biology
Hedoron is made up of pure sludge, waste and pollution as seen when it was killed by Spectreman. It stores Smog within its body and releases it as a defense mechanism. It feeds on pollution via it skin, mouth and tentacles and while in it's Feeding Form Hedoron can absorb a variety of waste as seen in Episode 2.
Hedoron's Corrosive mist is made up of Copper and Sodium compounds which are highly flammable. It skin secrete yellow sludge naturally underwater. Hedoron can transform itself into a Cloud of Smog for easy transportation. It stores Sludge in its stomach and Belches it out as an attack which while not shown on screen was mentioned on Hedoron's Playing Card. Hedoron's tentacles are made up of a organic material unlike the rest of his body.
Powers, Weapons and Abilities
Base Form:
- Corrosive Body: Hedoron has a Corrosive Body which damages nearby objects and creatures. It also secretes pollutants subconsciously. Hedoron can also absorb pollution to a limited extent in this form.
- Tentacles: Hedoron is equipped with numerous tentacles around its head which it can use to strike and constrict buildings, houses, enemies and other structures.
- Corrosive Mist: From the tips of its tentacles and its mouth, Hedoron can emit a e corrosive yellow mist that can melt human flesh and corrode structures to the point of collapsing.It is also capable of spontaneously bursting into flames. It's primarily made of Sodium and Copper compounds which is why the fire seen in Episode 1 is Green.
- Strength: Hedoron is extremely strong and powerful. Being capable of smashing houses and devastating settlements. Hedoron was able to wipe out an entire town within hours.
- Transportation: Hedoron is capable of transforming into a putrid cloud of smog/sludge in order to apparate into a designated area.
- Travel Speed: Due to it's sheer size Hedoron can traverse land quite quickly moving from one town to the next within minutes.
- Reaction Speed: Hedoron can react to Spectreman's movements in the air. Spectreman can fly at Mach 8.
- Durability: Hedoron has insane levels durability casually causing Spectreman trouble when he flew through him.
- Color Changing: Hedoron can change his appearance based on the time of day. This includes: Body color and Eye color.
Feeding Form:
- Absorption: While in its feeding form The Living Pollution Kaiju can absorb various types of pollution to increase its own power and capacity for destruction.
- Swimming: Hedoron's feeding form is capable of swimming at .02 Mph similar to other sea slugs
- Fluid Secretion: Hedoron can release Multi-Colored fluids that is extremely repelling of humans and other creatures
- Pattern Manipulation: Hedoron can manipulate the patterns on his body as a conscious act.
Weaknesses
- High Speed Impacts: A high speed impact from an object is enough to destroy the structural integrity of Hedoron.
- Attention Span: Hedoron has a low attention span as he jeopardized his mission to follow Spectreman's movements.
- High Heat: Despite having the ability to generate flames Hedoron has an aversion to high heat such as that from Spectreman's Spectral-Rays.
History

"The Uncommon Enemy"/"Dr. Gori Targets Earth!" (Episode 1)
Dr. Gori discovered the planet Earth and thought of it as the most beautiful planet he had ever seen and deemed it was suitable for invasion. However, humanity was ruining the planet with pollution. Dr. Gori molded a creature from the garbage overflowing in The Fuji sea Area. The result was Hedoron, a toxic monster of derived from pollution. It demolished The nearby village and Attacked The Oil Refinery setting it in flames and headed for Mount Fuji.Luckily, The Overlords on The Nebula space station granted George/Joji The permission to transform into Spectreman. Unfortunately, the hero did not go unnoticed. While flying around the colossal creature, he was hit by [[The Death ray]] from Dr. Gori’s saucer. The Meddlesome Metal-Man was shot down, but The Death Ray also hit the pollution monster. The flames covering his body which Forced Dr. Gori to Recall it.

"Hedoron Lives!"/"Destroy The Pollution Monster Hedoron!" (Episode 2)
After feeding The monster more pollution Dr. Gori sent it to attack once more but Spectreman quickly Recovered and went to battle once more with the living filth .He hit it with his Spectral-Rays then Flew through a mountain and subsequently Hedoron, Reducing him to sludge. Thus began the Rivalry between Dr. Gori and Spectreman.

Hedoron is Portrayed by a marionette in Episode 1 and 2; Strings are attached to each of it's seven tentacles and are operated by the Special Effects staff.

Supposedly, A live Sea Slug portrays Hedoron's feeding form. The sea slugs appears Black with many lime green spots on it.

Trivia
- Hedoron uses a variety of roars, with some of these being reused and modified for future kaiju:
- 1. One roar would be reused once for Zeron, and then slowed down for Bakulah.
- 2. One roar that was modified from Birdora from Ambassador Magma (modified horse whinnies) would later be modified for Baronsaurus.
- 3. Several roars would later be reused for Thunder Gei.
- 4. One roar would be modified to create Black Dragon's roars.
- 5. In the English Dub, Hedoron uses Ganime's shrieks and a Gorosaurus roar towards the end of Episode 1.
- Hedoron is portrayed by a marionette.
- Hedoron's name is very similar to the Toho monster, Hedorah. This is interesting, as both are pollution-based monsters that debuted the same year.
- Hedoron's Name comes from the Japanese word for sludge (Hedoro/へどろ)
- Hedoron’s design was made by Zenjiro Ono in one night.
