Yakou (夜光?) is one of Setsuka's weapons. While its Japanese name remains unchanged, its English name has gone through numerous changes: In Soulcalibur III, it would be called Moonlight; in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, it is called Yakou; and in Soulcalibur VI, it is called Night Glimmer.

There are two methods to obtaining Moonlight: one is to defeat Setsuka in Tales of Souls (though the chance of obtaining it via this method is low), and the other method is to purchase it in the Shop. However, it is not in the Shop's listing at the start of the game; you need to unlock it first. There are two methods to make it appear in the Shop listing:
- One is to fight a total of 525 matches.
- The other is to clear any of the following stages in Setuka's Tales of Souls:
- Stage 23 (Yoshimitsu)
- Stage 24 (Kilik)
- Stage 25 (Astaroth)
- Stage 26 (Mitsurugi in the Grand Labyrinth)

Description: The northern lights have appeared in Japan since ancient times, when they were feared as the "red clouds." It is said that mystics would light bonfires upon the holy mountains to call in spirits and balance the evil crimson energy coming the skies.
Later on, umbrellas were crafted with patterns depicting this ceremony to ward off evil, but this particular umbrella is a rare item that hides within it a blade of cleansing.
