Fatibal (覇汀原 Fatibaru?) was the nunchaku that Maxi primarily used in Soulcalibur and Soulcalibur VI, before it got replaced by Soryuju in the later games. It also appears in Soulcalibur II as one of his unlockable weapons.
Soulcalibur
Description: Fatibal is the name of Maxi's wooden nunchaku made by Yagazzi, one of Maxi's pirate crewmen. Yagazzi made and improved many nunchakus out of necessity for Maxi, since Maxi kept breaking them in battle.
Through trial and error, Yagazzi learned that the Balisanda wood enabled him to make a nunchaku that was strong and durable. This discovery resulted in the creation of Fatibal. Fatibal was perfectly suited for Maxi, since it could handle his extraordinary strength and the special characteristics of his Shissen Karihadi style of fighting.
Each handle of the nunchaku were given the names, Kochi (East Wind) and Hae (South Wind).

Description: Special nunchaku made of wood from the Palisander tree. It was made to match Maxi's Shissen Karihadi fighting techniques as well as the strength of his arms. Created by one of Maxi's crew, it is the ultimate Maxi-specific weapon. It does still have the unavoidable weakness of all wooden weapons, but nevertheless, there is no other weapon that fits Maxi as well as this one.

Profile
Nunchaku made by Yagaji, one of Maxi's crew. Designed to complement the pirate leader's fighting style and natural strength, they provide excellent speed, and break less easily than his other nunchaku.
During his time on land, Yagaji crafted many different versions of these nunchaku. Only after a great deal of effort was he able to create a set sturdy enough to withstand the strength with which Maxi wields them.
On one particular journey he purchased some high-quality East Indian rosewood from a female merchant, specifically so he could make these nunchaku. Perhaps Yagaji's finest work, they fit Maxi's fighting style perfectly and are his weapon of choice.
