Sonic Official

Sonic Official is a live broadcasting series that provides recent news and updates related to the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

The livestreams are typically streamed on both the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube and Twitch accounts and are usually hosted at Sega of America's headquarters in Irvine, California. The hosts themselves are members of the social team dedicated to handling the series's various social media accounts with a guest occasionally joining them, such as Tyson Hesse^[1] and Ian Flynn.^[2]

While the hosts of the livestreams have rotated over the years, the format has generally remained the same. Alongside discussing the latest news and announcements related to the Sonic series, such as games, comics and other merchandise, the hosts also use these livestreams to interact more with the fanbase, an example being that fanart is displayed in almost every livestream at both the beginning and the ending.

While the livestreams used to be held monthly, they are now streamed irregularly.
