Mini-Event

Mini-Events are a feature in Sonic Shuffle. They usually depict the player in a scenario that ends with the player getting or losing Rings and Forcejewels, having to rest for a turn, or having nothing happen at all.

List of Mini-Events

Mini-Event Image Description Outcome(s)
Lake The player will come to a circular lake where they can throw their Rings in hard, softly, or just simply throw them.
  • The player will earn 20 Rings.
  • The player will lose 20 Rings, as indicated by them staying at the bottom of the lake.
  • The player receives a Forcejewel
Chalices File:Shuffle Mini Event Chalices.png The player encounters three chalices in front of them that they must scoop water out of the jar with, then drink the water.
  • The player will earn or lose Rings.
  • The player will no longer be thirsty and leave.
Paths The player is walking in a forest and they come to a branching paths.
  • The player will earn 20 Rings.
  • The player will receives a Forcejewel.
  • The player will have to participate in a battle.
Mine In a glistening mine, the player will have a pickaxe and can pick from digging into the walls on their left or right, or the ground under their foot.
  • The player finds a random Forcejewel and receives it.
  • The player will have to fight a monster, similarly to them landing on a Battle Space.
  • The player will receive nothing and their character will walk away sulking.
Unicorn File:Shuffle Mini Event Unicorn.png The player will encounter a unicorn next to a shore. They are given the option to pet its mane, horn, or wing. If successful, the unicorn will let the player ride it.
  • The player will move to a space close to the Precioustone.
  • The player will move to a space away from the Precioustone.
  • The player will find a Forcejewel where the unicorn was.
Boat A fisher will ask the player to steer the boat. They can choose from "OK", "No thanks", and "I'm not sure".
  • The fisher is shown to be a young woman. The player will then be sent to a space near the Precioustone.
  • The fisher is shown to be Void, who tells the player that they're at the wrong place. The player will then move to a space away from the Precioustone.
  • The fisher is shown to be Dr. Eggman, who takes 20 Rings from the player.
Slot Machine The player encounters a slot machine and must choose to stop either the left, middle, or right drum.
  • The player earns 50 Rings if three Special Card icons line up.
  • The player earns 20 Rings if three sevens line up.
  • The player receives a Forcejewel if three Forcejewel marks line up.
  • The player will lose 20 Rings if the icons do not match.
  • The player will be forced to battle a monster if they try to stop a drum that continues spinning.
  • The slot machine will explode on the player, forcing them to rest for a turn.
Magic Show File:Shuffle Mini Event Show2.png Dr. Eggman, as the magician, will give the player three cards to choose from. The outcome is random.
  • The player will receive a Forcejewel.
  • The player will earn 20 Rings.
  • The player must pay 20 Rings if the card they choose does nothing.
Dr. Eggman will ask where the prize is from his hat, mustache, or his pockets.
  • The player will receive a Forcejewel.
  • The player will earn 20 Rings.
  • The player must pay 20 Rings if their guess is incorrect.
Temple Inside a temple, the priest will ask the player if the time has come, near, or has passed.
  • The player will move near the Precioustone.
  • The player will move away from the Precioustone.
  • Dr. Eggman will take 20 Rings from the player.
Thief File:Shuffle Mini Event Thief.png Dr. Eggman will take a bag of Rings from a woman, asking the player to stop them.
  • If the player is Sonic, he stops the thief and earns 20 Rings.
  • If the player is Knucles, Dr. Eggman tricks him into thinking that the thief ran the other away while Eggman makes his escape. Knuckles will then pay 10 Rings as an apology.
Balloon File:Shuffle Mini Event Balloon.png A girl loses her balloon.
  • If the player is Tails, he flies to get the balloon and receives 20 Rings from the girl.
  • If the player is Gamma, it fires a laser at the balloon and pops it in the process. It then pays 10 Rings as an apology.
Potholes File:Shuffle Mini Event Holes.png The player comes to a road full of potholes.
  • If the player falls into a hole, they must rest for a turn.
  • If the player is Knuckles, he watches as Eggman pops out of one of the holes and attacks him. He will receive 20 Rings.
Gong File:Shuffle Mini Event Gong.png The player will find a large gong in the middle of several bamboo trees.
  • Amy hits the gong, causing the bamboo trees nearby to rumble and drop Rings, earning her 20 of them.
  • Gamma shoots the gong, but nothing happens and it loses Rings.
Bomb File:Shuffle Mini Event Bomb.png The player finds a bomb in a hole.
  • Gamma diffuses the bomb and receives 20 Rings.
  • An Eggman head will pop out of the bomb, scaring the player and making them lose 10 Rings.
Hat File:Shuffle Mini Event Hat.png A girl has her hat blown away and lands on the water.
  • Tails will lose 20 Rings as he drops them while hurrying to get the hat.
  • Big will see Froggy, but instead of catching him, he instead catches the hat and gets 20 Rings.
Mountain Pass File:Shuffle Mini Event Fog.png As the player arrives at a mountain pass, Eggman will play a melody on his instrument.
  • If the player is lulled to sleep, they must rest for a turn.
  • The player can earn Rings or a Forcejewel if Eggman is attacked.
Quiz Dr. Eggman will ask the player a random question depending on the current game in question (i.e., how many times a player used a Special/Eggman card, how many times they landed on a particular space, etc.)
  • If the player answers correctly, they earn 20 Rings.
  • If the player answers incorrectly, they must rest for a turn.
Door As Sonic or Super Sonic, the player encounters a large door that will only open when they charge at it.
  • The player will lose 10 Rings or gain 20 Rings.
Bazaar
At a bazaar, Dr. Eggman will run a giveaway for a bag of Rings or a card with a Forcejewel icon on it.
  • The player will get 20 Rings or a Forcejewel.
  • The player will lose 20 Rings.
  • The player will not participate in the event and leave.
Park In the middle of a park, the player will take a walk and get knocked aside by a man in a trench coat. If the player has two Forcejewels, their light will blind the man and prevent him from bumping into them.
  • The man will pickpocket 50 Rings from the player.
  • The player will walk off.
  • The player will receive 50 Rings that were under the bench where the man was sitting.
Structure File:Shuffle Mini Event Structure.png The player will encounter a large ring structure in the desert that can either activate or fall on the player.
  • The player will move near or away from the Precioustone.
  • The player must rest for a turn.
Tidal Wave A tidal wave splashes down on the player. They then find themselves on a nearby beach.
  • The player will find a treasure chest full of Rings.
  • The player will find a Forcejewel.
  • The player will lose 100 Rings after being hit by a log.
Bird As the player sleeps, a bird will fly in.
  • The player will receive 50 Rings.
  • The player will lose 20 Rings.
  • The player will feel refreshed from their nap and continue on.
Blacksmiths The player finds themselves inside a workshop where there are three blacksmiths hitting an anvil with mallets.
  • The player will receive a Forcejewel.
  • The player will lose Rings.
  • Nothing happens.
Medusa The player finds themselves in a dark corridor where a woman similar to Medusa emerges from the coffin. To defend themselves, they must have at least two Forcejewels.
  • The player must rest up to two turns depending on how many Forcejewels they had.
  • The player will receive a Forcejewel.
Golem The player encounters a large golem that comes to life, who then asks them to see and feel its power.
  • The golem will reach for its chest and give 50 Rings to the player.
  • The golem will use its power on the player and take 20 Rings from them.
  • The golem will go back to sleep and the player will leave.
