Magna-Fi was an American rock band who has done work for the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They were based in Las Vegas and were active from the mid-1990s (under the name The Szuters until 2002) to 2010.
History
According to a YouTube comment left by Mike Szuter, Magna-Fi was contacted by Jun Senoue, who was a friend of Mike at the time, to create a song for Shadow the Hedgehog. Mike immediately started writing the song "Who I Am". When Jun travelled from Japan to Las Vegas for recording, he said he didn't want to use Who I Am because he wanted to write a song with Magna-Fi. Because of this, they composed and performed "All Hail Shadow" for the Pure Hero ending theme of the game.
The song "All Hail Shadow" was covered by Crush 40 for Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). In 2009, a "Hybrid Mix" of "All Hail Shadow" was included on the True Colors: The Best of Sonic the Hedgehog Part 2 compilation album, which featured Mike Szuter's vocals played over the Crush 40 version of the song.
