Drill Mole

The Drill Mole^[1] is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, mole-based robot used by the Battle Kukku Empire.

Appearance

Drill Moles are small robotic enemies with even smaller limbs. They have large drills on top of their heads.

Overview

In Tails Adventure, the Drill Moles appear as enemies. They can be found in the cavern areas of Volcanic Tunnel, Cavern Island and Polly Mountain 2.

In gameplay, Drill Moles will hide underground with their drills poking out. When Tails moves over the spots on the ground where a Drill Mole is positioned, it will emerge from the ground in an attempt to ambush the player and then retreat back into the ground. Because their drill part can be seen on the ground however, the player can to predict their exit point.

A Drill Mole can be destroyed simply by tossing any type of bomb towards it or attacking it with an offensive move once it rises up from the ground. Like every other enemy in the game, these enemies may also drop a Ring when they are destroyed.

Powers and abilities

The Drill Moles possess drills that let them burrow through the ground and which can be used to attack foes.
