Doc Ratcheturn is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He was a robot native of the Sol Zone.

History

Past

In his world, Doc Ratcheturn would travel the oceans looking to repair injured robots. From one particular voyage, Ratcheturn never returned; instead his vessel sailed in with the future Captain Metal at its helm. What became of Ratcheturn is unknown, although Captain Metal was grateful for his second chance at life.[1]

Trivia

  • Ratcheturn's name is a play on the words "ratchet turn."
  • Ratcheturn bears slight resemblance to Doctor Ivo Kintobor, the good-natured version of Dr. Robotnik from Moebius.
  • Ratcheturn is the first, and so far only, Sol Zone robot with benevolent tendencies.
