Day 6: Wednesday -kekkAI- (６日目：水曜日 -決潰-, 6-Nichi-me: Suiyōbi -kekkAI-, lit. Day 6: Wednesday -Collapse-) is a chapter featured in AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES.
It is the fourteenth and final chapter of the Iris Route. It covers the aftermath of Kaname Date's Psync with Iris Sagan.
Case File Synopsis
Date and Aiba gave Iris the fruit of immortality in Somnium. If dreams can change reality, then it could save Iris... It had to save Iris...
Iris slowly opened her eyes, but she was fading fast. Date held her close, trying to console her, trying to make her final moments meaningful. Iris's last words were a question she never finished. Her teardrops were red, like the setting sun.
Story Summary
Dark Room, Kabasaki Chemical Plant, Wednesday 12:16 AM
Despite giving Iris the fruit of immortality, Iris was still dying when Date returned to reality. Still bleeding from her left eye socket, she thanked Date for everything he did for her. She talked about wanting to spend more time and go places with him, but she knew she was going to die. Date did his best to console her and promised her she would be okay. Iris started to ask Date one last question, saying she had been looking for someone, but before she could finish, she died in Date's arms.

Etymology
- The name kekkAI (決潰) translates to "Collapse," which is in reference to Iris Sagan's collapse and subsequent death in this ending.
General
- According to Kotaro Uchikoshi, Date did not rip out Iris‘s eye, he simply took it out and placed it back in. The bleeding was caused by damaged blood vessels during the removal process.[1]
