Team Yagami (八（や）神（がみ）チーム) is a reoccuring Team in The King of Fighters series.

Description

As the name implies, this team is formed by Iori Yagami and some characters who have aligned with him, acting as a primary Team Rivals in the Orochi Saga. The first formation occurs in The King of Fighters '95, and the '96 incarnation is the most well-known formation, which returns in '98/UM and 2002/UM, and canonically in XIII, XIV and XV.

At first, the real objective of the team was to rival the protagonists of the SNK franchises (Kyo Kusanagi, Terry Bogard and Ryo Sakazaki), but, with the unstable behavior of its leader, this proposal was undone. With the sole aim of killing Kyo, Iori constantly allies himself with the two servants of Orochi, Mature and Vice (despite both women being Sacred Treasures' enemies) and, in the 8th entry in the series, with the agents Vanessa, Seth and Ramón, always with the same goal: killing Kyo and anyone who cross his path.

Note 2: Due to the fact that Iori is Kyo's direct rival (and the only Three Sacred Treasures cursed by Orochi), the KOF '96 formation, with Mature and Vice (two Orochi servants), appears with their participations in yellow.

KOF EX Team Formation

The team has a new formation, exclusive for The King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood (released only in the Game Boy Advance). The new characters added to the team are Jun Kagami and Miu Kurosaki.
