Takato Saionji (西園寺 貴人, Saionji Takato) is a character in Buriki One. Despite of his looks, Takato is a man. He is voiced by Eiji Yano.
Story
Since he was a child, Takato was taught Aikido by his grandfather Takayuki Saionji, an Aikido master. Though uninterested with the Buriki One tournament entirely, Takato enters the East-Asian qualifiers at his grandfather's behest. At 17, Takato is one of the youngest competitors in the tournement, drawing much attention from press and fans alike. Despite his lack of interest in the tournament and its spectacle, Takato seems to be quite passionate about martial arts, viewing it as a way of life.
Personality
Though Takato is often polite, and holds a calm and collected composure, he is often unsmpathetic to the feelings of those around him. This is not because of any bad intentions, but seemingly from a lack of consideration for the feelings of others. Due to his lack of interest in the tournament, his answers to interviewers and fan Q&A questions are often short, to the point and almost curt, though Takato doesn't seem to be aware of the nature of his answers.
Fighting Style
He uses traditional Aikido throws and counters.
