Shermie Whip

Shermie Whip (シェルミーホイップ) is one of Shermie's Special Moves in The King of Fighters series, first appearing in The King of Fighters '97.

Description

Shermie performs a backflip with her foot held high. If it connects, she performs a Release Suplex on the opponent.

The version, however, has her perform two Release Suplexes instead.

Strategy

Shermie Whip, despite its appearance, is NOT a Command Grab. Shermie Whip acts as a juggle ender, and can be used as a reversal or even a counterpoke. The move has a lot of recovery if it doesn't connect, but if blocked will leave you at a massive disadvantage, and your opponent is free to counterattack.

The & versions have invincibility against grounded attacks, and all switches sides with your opponent on a successful Shermie Whip. However, it also has no invincibility to projectiles. Likewise, it also has no invincibility to aerial attacks, making it a poor anti-air move. Note also that when this is used as a juggle ender, the oki is fairly poor and you swap sides.
