Nelia

カーネリアン

Carnelian (カーネリアン, Carnelian^? ) or Nelia (ネリア, Nelia^? ) for short, is one of the main characters in Shuffle! Episode 2.

Background

Nelia is the current princess of the Devil World. Her real name is Carnelian, but she finds it too long and bothersome and prefers going by Nelia.

She has been acquainted with Lithia and they are childhood friends. She is a perfectionist and honor student, though she is not good at studying.

The princess despises the human race due to her late adoptive grandmother was unable to stop loving a human, who married another woman, until the end. She finds pleasure in seducing and looting unlucky men and turning them into obedient pets, only to break their hearts in the end. It wasn't until she approached Raito that her plan backfired. Planning to lead him off and crush him like the other, she fell in love instead. However, rather of admitting to her feelings, she says to Raito, "I came to tempt you, and throw you away after!"

• Raito: Her love interest after he fails to fall for her manipulative charm.
• Nerine: Her adoptive grandmother who died without having children. She was very close to Nerine.
