Barbara is an enemy character in Shining Force Gaiden II and Shining Force CD.

Background

Barbara is a general of Iom who works under Warderer and with Solo (who she clashes with at times). When the Shining Force at the Algam Fort arrives Solo is quarreling with Barbara over her comments that his power isn't as good as he says before Warderer stops it. Warderer says sacrificing the King of Emild was able to bring Him back and that there is a Traitor among them. Before the traitor is named, the battle starts and Solo takes them on and dies. While fleeing the force, Hindel suggests she take Nick to the Shrine to be ritual sacrificed while he faces the Shining Force and she tells him Warderer told her to slay him if he tried anything suspicious. They agree to take him to the Shrine together and leave their troops to face the Shining Force. At the castle with the Shine the Shining Force catch up to them and Barbara volunteers to take them on. After the final blow is struck, she admits defeat but tells them they won't save their Prince or beat Iom and Warderer.
