The Motorcycle is a vehicle that was cut from Serious Sam 2 during development, but reappears as a functional vehicle in Serious Sam 4.
Overview
This chopper motorcycle is based on a 1970s Harley-Davidson (possibly a softail) powered by a V-twin engine. It can be ridden by pressing the Use key when right next to it. The motorcycle has decend speed and is useful for getting from one destination to the next. Despite its superior speed, the motorcycle has terrible sterring and performs even worse off-road, where it is more prone to oversteering. Because of this, there is a risk of the player going off-road and crashing into obstacles if they are not careful enough when driving it. A more suitable choice of vehicle for such environments is the ATV.
The player can use some of their weapons while riding on the motorcycle, but only light or medium weapons such as the 12 Gauge Pump-Action Shotgun, M29 Infantry Assault Rifle, or SOP38 Pistol. Heavier weapons such as the RAPTOR Sniper Rifle or XM214-A Minigun cannot be used.

The motorcycle can be seen at an intersection after Sam ends up stranded in the French countryside. It proves to be a useful asset for him as he ventures out onto the open road. After some driving, he reaches a bridge with a spike strip on it, which flattens the tyres. Sam is forced to ditch the bike and proceed to Carcassonne on foot.[1]
Tactics
- The motorcycle has limited health, so don't let enemies swarm all over it or allow their projectiles to hit it too much.
- Care should be taken when driving the motorcycle around bends in the road or when near obstacles, as its poor steering can cause the player to crash into obstacles which can damage the vehicle or cause the player to lose health.
Behind the scenes
- In Serious Sam 2, the motorcycle appeared as a purple bike with a flame design on certain parts.
- The motorcycle was a prominent part of the first trailer for Serious Sam 2, as it showed that vehicles would be a part of the game. However, like the ATV, the motorcycle was removed from the final game for unknown reasons.
- Despite being removed from Serious Sam 2, the motorcycle's headlight texture still exists in the game's files.
- The motorcycle in Serious Sam 4 teaser footage of Serious Sam 4 had stickers on its bumper and on the sides near the handles. These were removed in the final version.[2]
Trivia
- The word "serious" can be seen on the motorcycle's fuel tanks and speed dial.
