G

G (ジー, Jī^?), also known as Agent G, is major character in The House of the Dead series.

Appearance

In The House of the Dead, G wears a black suit, with a navy blue shirt and a gray tie. His hair is short, black and slicked back.

In The House of the Dead 2, G is shown to be wearing his black suit, a blue shirt and a green tie when he is on the floor injured. He retains this look for it's spin-off The Typing of the Dead.

In The House of the Dead III, G is now considerably older, his hair has turned gray. He now forgoes the suit jack and wears a gray waistcoat and matching pants with a light blue shirt and yellow tie with black shoes. He retains this look for it's spin-off The Typing of the Dead II.

In The House of the Dead 4, G wears the same outfit as in the third game still with grey hair, however in The House of the Dead 4 Special, he's slightly younger with black hair, wearing a shiny black suit and matching tie with a navy blue shirt.

The House of the Dead: Overkill showcases a young G, fresh out of training wearing a black suit that he leaves open, no tie, white shirt and a pair of wrap around sunglasses. He retains this look in all Overkill's spin-offs such as The Typing of the Dead: Overkill.

History

Past

The House of the Dead

In The House of the Dead, in 1998, seven years later, G is assigned to work alongside top AMS agent Thomas Rogan to storm the Curien Mansion after getting a distress call from Thomas' fiancé and employee of Dr. Curien, Sophie Richards.

The two meet up with Sophie, but she is dragged away by the bat like humanoid mutant Hangedman. G and Thomas chased after her, running into the mansion. They eventually meet back up with Sophie, only for an armored mutant known as The Chariot to fall through the ceiling window and seemingly kill her. G and Thomas gunned The Chariot down, with Thomas swearing revenge for his fallen fiancé.

G and Thomas kill Hangedman, coming across Curien, but he escapes their grasp and they are forced to fight against the spider like beast known as Hermit. They are then forced to kill a newly revived Hangedman and The Chariot before finally cornering Curien.

Dr. Curien releases his ultimate creation, the human like Magician to face G and Thomas, but Magician refuses to see Dr. Curien as his master and kills him first for daring to give him orders. G and Thomas gun him down, and just before the creature explodes he threatens the agents by telling them they haven't see anything yet.

Having successfully completed their mission, G and Thomas leave bidding Curien and Sophie a final goodbye before going on to their next mission.

The House of the Dead 2

In The House of the Dead 2, two years later in the year 2000, G heads to an unknown city where Dr. Curien's financer, Caleb Goldman is rumoured to plan another outbreak. G plans to meet up with fellow AMS agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart in a library with information he's gathered on the creatures weak points, but is attacked by the imp like creature known as Zeal and left injured. He hands the agents his notebook, and wishes them good luck. After James and Gary neutralise the threat, Thomas Rogan reveals to them that G survived the ordeal.

The House of the Dead 4 Special

In The House of the Dead 4 Special, in 2003, Caleb Goldman performs a posthumous attack, leading to the downfall of civilization. James Taylor sacrifices his life to kill Goldman's ultimate creation The World leaving his then rookie partner Kate Green all alone. G comes across her fighting off the mutated hordes on her own and teams up with her. G and Kate fight through the mutated creatures eventually facing off against Justice and later a revived Magician who proceeds to attempt to open a pandora's box upon G and Kate defeating him. After finishing him off before he can, G tells Kate that the fight is only just about to begin.

The House of the Dead III

In The House of the Dead III, in 2019, humanity has collapsed and the AMS abandoned. G has been researching into what happened and is finding links between the missions he had previously been assigned and the incident in 2003. His old partner, Thomas Rogan has formed a secret division investigating the incidents, and goes missing during a raid. G teams up with Thomas' daughter Lisa Rogan to track him down.

The House of the Dead: Overkill

In The House of the Dead: Overkill, G completed his training as an AMS agent and in 1991 was assigned to investigate a missing persons case in Bayou City, Louisiana linked to crime lord Papa Caesar. Assigned to work alongside hot headed and aggressive Detective Isaac Washington, G meets his new partner by being punched directly in the face by him as a greeting. Washington has some personal vendetta against Papa Caesar and has his own reasons for this mission and is none too happy about being forced to work with a partner.

Regardless G, as a professional, follows his orders and attempts to bond with Washington despite the two constantly butting heads on the mission. They manage to track Papa Caesar down to a mansion and after fighting their way through 'mutants' find Caesar in the basement with his disabled scientist, Jasper Guns. Unfortunately after a threat from Caesar about his sister, Jasper injects himself with mutantgents that begin to transform him into a monster to finish Caesar himself. G and Isaac arrive just in time to cause confusion allowing Caesar to escape and them to have to engage Jasper as a reborn telekinetic mutant in battle.

After defeating Jasper, Jasper asks them to tell his sister he loves her, before telling them how much pain he's in. G offers to ease his pain for him (although Isaac gets angry at this point telling him to shoot him, missing G's more subtle approach). G puts Jasper out of his misery only for Jasper's sister, Varla Guns, to come around the corner. G is instantly attracted to her, but Varla swears revenge on Papa Caesar for causing her brother's death.

G and Isaac continue to chase after Papa Caesar fighting off mutants(with G putting information in his report) until Caesar manages to capture Varla and forces her to drive him to the prison. G swears to rescue her, and he and Isaac proceed on foot through the swamp to catch up. Upon arriving at the prison, G meets Clement Darling, the eccentric prison warden and requests his aid, to which Clement points them in the general direction through the prison.

After fighting their way through the hordes, G and Washington arrive at the electric chair theatre, where both Varla and Papa Caesar are strapped up, with a gleeful Clement Darling announcing he was behind everything with the mutant outbreak. He then executes Papa Caesar who he claims was his pawn, to prevent Isaac from getting his revenge and stopping G from bringing him to justice.

Clement explains he's helped bring around the mutation in order to prevent his dying mother from passing away...before kissing her passionately. G and Isaac feel sick. Clement then proceeds to sick two mutated inmates on the agents...luckily for G, Brutus kills his inmate partner before proceeding to turn on G and Isaac giving them only one opponent to face. G guns Brutus down and chases after Clement who has kidnapped Varla.

Upon arriving in the basement, Varla appears to be safe and flirts with G and then Isaac, only for Clement to get angry and reveal he's transplanted his mother's brain into Varla's body. 'Varla' turns around to reveal her skull exposed and the brain hanging out the back. Varla's brain is placed in a jar. Clement's mother proceeds to attack G and Isaac with a psychic blast before the body and mind reject one another. Isaac and G gun fake Varla down, who falls into a vat of mutant formula, and emerges as a 100 foot monster. Upon taking Mother down, G and Isaac ponder what this story's underlying message was, but reach a mutual agreement that they both like one another's friendship.

Sega Heroes

In Sega Heroes, G is a playable blue legendary hero who was added on February 27, 2019. He has the following gameplay characteristics:

• G's stoic nature in the first game led many fans to believe he was some sort of advanced cyborg at first.
• G has the most appearances of any individual playable character appearing in every title in the series bar House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn, The House of the Dead: Nightmare (a mobile version of the first title, as G is the player 2 character he was scrapped) and Loving Deads: The House of the Dead EX.
• G's appearance in The House of the Dead: Overkill is based on actor Keanu Reeves in the movie Point Break.
