Jackal

This article/section is a stub.
This article needs more information. You can help the wiki by expanding it!

Jackal is an organization featured in Rogue Company. With resources similar to those of the Rogue Company, it is speculated that Jackal might have originated from the latter, especially considering their similar logos.

However, Jackal has a reputation for being highly unethical, resorting to any means necessary to achieve their objectives, the nature of which remains unknown.

The organization appears to have little regard for human life, as evidenced by its involvement in several terrorist attacks worldwide, as reported on the news in the Shooting Range.

Operation Heart Eater

Operation Heart Eater was a procedure of Jackal developed somewhere around 03-07-96. It is unknown if Jackal was already functional back then and if the doctor that made it developed it for Jackal on purpose. Jackal had decided to use it on one of their operators, Umbra, that was left for dead after a mission against Rogue Company assassinwent terribly wrong. The operation was a huge success and Umbra went on to become a very important assasin in Jackal.

E7-295

This event took place on 06/12/2025 [1]

Jackal had tracked the two Rogues Ronin and Dima down to an E7-295 store in Miami [1]. Jackal had blown the front of the store out and was met with a fight against the duo and the E7-295 shopkeeper Runway. The team of Jackal operatives lost the fight and were killed. [2]

Prison break

Jackal had launched an attack on a maximum security prison that housed some of the world's greatest threats located deep in the jungles of Venezuela. Their goal being to break out an undisclosed target. Rogue Company was called in to counter Jackal [3] which they successfully did, preventing the breakout. [4]

The Domain

Jackal went to a cutting-edge, fully automated, unmanned, cable-laying ship named ''the Domain'' located in the Arctic [5] in order to disable its systems for weeks. Their operation went smoothly until Rogue Company arrived on the ship and discovered their plans by bugging their communications, which resulted in the Rogue Company team being authorized to take back the ship. [4]

Kestrel

A team of Jackal operatives were tasked with assassinating the Rogue Company founder Kestrel in her own office. Kestrel had seen them coming through her security feed and dealt with the team as soon as they entered her office. [6]

Hollows

A secret Jackal base located in an underground cavern in Southeast Asia was besieged by Rogue Company. Jackal was trying to launch a stealth weapons platform into space which the Rogues were trying to stop. [7]

Breach

Jackal was taken aback by the attack on their hollows base because they weren't aware of the fact that Rogue Company had much intel on them. This caused Jackal to launch a counterattack on Rogue Company, specifically on their training facility where they wanted to destroy any intel they could find on Rogue Companies database about Jackal. Amid Jackal's attack, Justicar arrived who were searching for Dima, but they ended up helping Rogue Company defeat Jackal and preventing them from wiping the data. [8]

Jackal had simultaneously launched attacks on Icarus (Italy), Vice (USA, Miami), and Canals (Panama) as seen on the news in the Shooting Range. Their reason behind those attacks is unknown but it's very possible that it was to distract Rogue Company while attacking their training facility or just to cause chaos. Rogue Company still managed to send teams out to combat those Jackal attacks.

Streetfight

A group of Jackal operatives were fighting the Rogue Switchblade until she eventually ran out of ammo. Runway had just closed down a E7-295 shop and came across the Rogue in need and decided to help her out. [9] The pair were fighting back until Cannon finally arrived and took the remaining Jackal operatives out. [10]

Wanted

The high-ranking Jackal assassin known as Umbra was following the Rogue's Gl1tch and Chaac [11] in their search for some important data in Chaac's hometown located in the Yucatán Peninsula. [12] Umbra ambushed them when they had just extracted the data and beat the Rogues with ease, taking the data. [13] Just when Umbra was about to execute Gl1tch, Glimpse appeared behind him and shot his gun out of his hand. Umbra and Glimpse started fighting when eventually Umbra was knocked down and used that as an opportunity to escape with the data which he successfully did. [14]

Meltdown

Umbra was leading a Jackal attack against Furmi.62's SCION Facility located in the arctic tundra, serving as an A.I. research facility. The facility housed the world's first true A.I. and Jackal identified it as a possible threat and sought to take care of it. Jackal had set the A.I. and the base itself both individually. The self destruction of the facility itself could've caused a chain reaction of volcanic eruptions around the world since the facility is located on top of a dormant volcano. Rogue Company arrived on the scene and managed to stop the destruction of the facility but seemingly not the A.I. Rogue Company was led to believe that the A.I. was destroyed for some time when in reality, it was in the hands of Jackal.

Vertigo

Rogue Company had traced Jackal's attack on Furmi.62's SCION facility back to a Jackal base located in a remote region in Northwest Asia. The base was equipped with a dangerous artillery platform called a Capacitor Pulse Array which lead to Rogue Company deciding that the base could pose a danger to the world. Trench and Juke to were on their way to the facility to attack but were shot down by Jackal in the process, resulting in Trench losing his leg and the two Rogues being held captive in a Jackal base. Rogue Company quickly discovered this and sent a team to break the Rogues out which was a success.

Search for A.I.

Jackals Hollows base was attacked by a team of Rogues who were searching for Juke's A.I. The team fought their way through the facility but found nothing.

Trivia

  • As shown in Rogue Company's teasers, Jackal seems to be the organization RoCo is most concerned about and their main enemy.
  • Anvil and Vy are the only Rogues to have a Jackal related skin. It is unknown if they are canon to the game's lore, but there is a theory that believes Vy joined their organization because of her desperation for a cure to the weaponized virus she was exposed to.
  • The only known member of Jackal is Umbra, a high-ranking assassin and described as a true believer of the organization's cause.
  • Judging by Umbra's abilities and loadout, along with how he was reborn with numerous cybernetic implants from Jackal, it looks like they have different types of advanced equipments and this might be one of the reasons Rogue Company is so concerned about them, since their motivations are immoral and corrupt.
