Parthenos is the sister of Hemithea and a Princess of Naxos.
History
When their father, King Staphylus, the son of Dionysus, chased her, she prayed to Artemis to help her. Hearing this prayer, Apollo thought they were praying to him and made them both immortals. Later, they thanked him, asked him whether Artemis had sent him, and went on to join the Hunters of Artemis.
