The Turbulent Week (激動の一週間, Gekidō no Isshūkan) is the second arc of the Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu series. It is preceded by Arc 1, The Tumultuous First Day, and followed by Arc 3, Return to the Royal Capital. In the web novel, the first chapter of Arc 2 was released on May 9, 2012, and its last chapter was released on July 8, 2012. Arc 2 consists of 49 chapters and an interlude in the web novel, two light novel volumes, a manga adaptation made by Fūgetsu Makoto, and an anime adaptation with eight episodes.
After saving Emilia and overcoming his great injury, Subaru awakens at Roswaal Manor, where he soon starts working as a butler alongside the twin maids, Ram and Rem. Nevertheless, during his first days there, he once again finds himself murdered in his sleep. Hoping to discover his killer, Subaru does everything possible to gain the trust of everyone at the mansion and stop the would-be assassin.
