Shekinah Igarta Arzaga (born July 20, 2000) known by her stage name, Sheki, is a Filipino singer and actress under Hallo Hallo Entertainment and signed under Superball and Vernalossom. She is a 1st Generation member of the girl group, MNL48.
She made her solo debut on December 21, 2022 with her first solo debut single, "Tell Me".
Career
2017: Tawag ng Tanghalan
On December 2017, Sheki participated in a competition show called "Tawag ng Tanghalan" where she sang “Loving You” [1] on stage. She became a 1-time defending and defeated Junreal Olarte, a defending champion that day [2]. She was later defeated by Raymon Adbram and ended up being a 1-time defender.[3]
2018–present: MNL48
After several months of resigning from Tawag ng Tanghalan, She joined in a reality-survival show, “MNL48: Idol That You Can Meet” on It’s Showtime every Saturday at 12noon. She ranked first and became the first center girl after a few weeks of training on the show. On April 29, 2018, she debuted in the group with their first debut single album, "Aitakatta (Gustong Makita)".
On March 17, 2021, she was appointed as the new overall captain of the group, predeceased by Alice.
On December 15, 2022, she was transferred to 1st Generation team.
2020: Acting debut
On May 2020, she was featured and debuted as an actress in a TV series called, "Ipaglaban Mo with Gabb, Sela and the other MNL48 member.
2022–present: Solo debut
On November 1, 2022, Vernalossom and HHE announced that she will make her solo debut in the month of December.[4] She is the first MNL48 member to make a solo debut. On December 15, it was announced that she will be making her solo debut on December 21, with her solo debut single, "Tell Me".[5][6]
On December 21, she officially debuted as a solo with their solo debut single, "Tell Me" under Vernalossom and Superball.[7][8]
