Yancy (Japanese: ルリ, Hepburn: Ruri), also known by her screen name, Nancy (Japanese: ルッコ, Hepburn: Rukko), is a character appearing in Black 2 and White 2, who is a celebrity idol. Players of both genders are able to see her on TV, but she only appears in person if the player is male. If the player is female, her counterpart Curtis appears instead.
Appearance
Yancy is a young girl with fair skin, light pink shoulder-length hair, and light blue eyes. She wears a white and pink hat with a bow design and a white blouse with short sleeves, along with a long-sleeved baby-blue dress underneath. She also wears dark blue socks and brown boots on her feet. For storage, she carries around a hot pink satchel that she slings over her right shoulder.
Nancy, her idol persona, has a much less conservative appearance. She styles her hair into a curly side ponytail (with light blue tips formed into a drill) and keeps a large cream and pink bow and a hot pink headband in it. For clothing, she wears a white dress with a golden sash on top of her waist. It has two hot pink straps that are partially covered by a puffy white collar. The collar is held in place with a hot pink Poké Ball-shaped pin, and white ribbons come out from underneath it, partially covering her bust. She also wears a pink headset over her left ear and white and hot pink wrist bands.
Since Yancy only appears in the overworld as a sprite, her idol persona's bottom half is never shown. As a result, her footwear (and how tall both versions of her are) is impossible to determine.
Personality
Yancy is a sweet and friendly girl. However, she appears to be somewhat shy and socially awkward when not in her celebrity persona. She can also be dishonest, as she lies to the player during the game.
Biography
Early in the game, Yancy loses her Xtransceiver. After the player finds it, she eventually schedules an in-person meetup with him so she can get it back. After she gets it back, she can call the player when he is in specific locations around Unova. The player's relationship with Yancy steadily increases over time and with each call. After the 30th call, she appears to have gained a crush on the player, as she blushes when she talks to him. Eventually, she even writes a song called "Xtransceiver Love."
