His Japanese name is a play on the American rapper MC Hammer. His English name was changed to "MC Sledge" likely due to legal reasons.
Biography
MC Sledge is a Gym Trainer encountered at the Montenevera Gym. He is the last trainer whom the player fights before the Gym Leader, Ryme.
