Lemonade is an item introduced in Generation I.
Effect
In addition to be being a sour juice in the real world, Lemonade in the Pokémon franchise is a healing item in every game of the core series. Prior to Generation VII, Lemonade restores 80 HP of the Pokémon it is used on, but since Generation VII, it restores a slightly lower amount, 70 HP.
Description
Lemonade has a consistent price of 350 throughout its appearances, and many of them can be bought from vending machines. Lemonade sells for
175 in all of the core series games up to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, though remakes retain this price. In the Generation VII and Generation VIII games (excluding remakes), Lemonade can be sold at a slightly higher cost of
200. In Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Lemonade is sold at a lower price of
100.
In the Generation I games and their remakes FireRed and LeafGreen and Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!, Lemonade is always on the top floor of the Celadon Department Store, in the vending machines. Additionally, the player can enter Saffron City by giving one of the city guards a Lemonade, or alternatively a Fresh Water or a Soda Pop; this applies only to the Generation I games, since in FireRed and LeafGreen, Lemonade cannot be given to the guards, but Tea can. The player can give a Lemonade to a thirsty girl in the Celadon Department Store to receive a TM from her, which varies depending on the version: in the Generation I games, she gives TM49 (Tri Attack); in FireRed and LeafGreen, she gives TM33 (Reflect), and in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!, she gives TM07 (Protect).
Lemonade has a slightly larger role in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen than in the Generation I games, since they can additionally be bought in bulk at Two Island once the player has received the National Pokédex, as well as be given to a Pokémon Trainer's fainted Onix at Memorial Pillar to receive TM042 (Facade).
In Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, Lemonade can be obtained from the many vending machines scattered around Unova, including cities such as Castelia City and more remote areas like Twist Mountain.
