Dario is a character appearing in in Pokémon the Series: The Beginning. He is the arch-nemesis of Lara Laramie.
Personality
Dario is not only arrogant but he has poor sportsmanship and is willing to cheat in order to win. After his defeat by Ash Ketchum, he is such a sore loser when he thinks Ash cheated and refused to accept his defeat. He tries to attack Ash and Lara's Rapidish only to be blast him and Dodtrio off. He blamed Team Rocket for his defeat.

Anime
Dario wants to win the Big P Pokémon Race with his Dodrio through any means necessary. When Lara showed her Ponyta, Dario made an alliance with the Team Rocket trio, as they threw an object, causing Lara to fall off of her Ponyta and break her arm. Ash filled in for Lara, even as the Team Rocket trio continued to sabotage the race, knocking out Tauros, Nidorina, and an Electrode to give Dario an unfair advantage. Ash somehow caught up to Dario, and since Lara's Ponyta evolved into a Rapidash, Ash managed to barely win against Dario.
Dario was very furious at his loss, to the extent of calling Ash the cheater, and went to attack him and Rapidash, though the latter kicked him away. Dario then believed the Team Rocket trio was responsible for his loss, so he had his Dodrio attack them with Peck.
