The Battle Pyramid has seven floors where the player has to battle strong Pokémon Trainers while traveling through the darkness. None of the trainers award Pokémon Dollars when defeated. The player can enter with up to three Pokémon as long as each of them do not have a held item. The player can choose from either the "Level 50" or "Open Level" rank. Some wild Pokémon can even be encountered, although they cannot be caught. The Frontier Brain of the location is Pyramid King Brandon, who has the Brave Symbol.

The Battle Pyramid is orange and has a set of small steps and a small overhanging roof leading up to it. The inside has a PC in one corner, the scoreboard in the other, and a Hiker in the middle. While exploring, the player's Bag is switched for a Battle Bag, which contains a Hyper Potion and a Max Ether by default. There are also items dotted around the place, such as Ethers and Fluffy Tails. On each floor, there is a blue tile guarded by a Hiker on all seven floors, and the tile is flanked by two fire pits and has four statues behind it. The player's goal on each floor is to find the blue tile to continue to the next floor. As the player wins more battles, the circle of light increases, lightening the dark area and making it easier for them to find the warp tile.

After accessing all seven warp tiles, the player makes it to the top, where a Hiker awaits them. The player is congratulated by the Hiker and can then see the sunset. Furthermore, the player can make it to Pyramid King Brandon by ascending the pyramid three times for silver rank and ten for gold rank: In this case, a guide bars the way at the top, informing the player that someone had beaten them to the top and that they must battle their "chief". The player meets Brandon upon taking a step forward. Brandon has one of each of the three Legendary Giants (Regirock, Regice and Registeel) the first time and one of each of the Legendary Birds (Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres) the second time.
