- Unknown date – The Vasa, a massive warship which sank in 1628, was salvaged and housed in a special museum in the Swedish capital. The ship provided a rich foundation for production designer Rick Heinrichs' wilder and more fantastical designs for the Flying Dutchman.[1][2]
