Spotcaps are a type of fungi in Pikmin 3. They usually appear in clusters, blocking a path or access to an item of importance. A Spotcap can instantly break if the leader throws a Pikmin on top of it. A Spotcap respawns a few days after breaking.
Spotcaps have a larger variety, Kingcaps, which require several hits to destroy. In Pikmin 4, Spotcaps have a poisonous variety named "Poison Spotcap" and Kingcaps likewise have their own poisonous variety, Poison Kingcaps.
