The Masterhop, also known as the Masterwog, is a boss in Pikmin 4. It is nearly identical to a Yellow Wollyhop, both in appearance and attacks. Masterhop can be defeated if fought in the same manner as a Yellow Wollyhop.

Masterhop appears on the final sublevel of the Seafloor Resort in the Serene Shores, and defeating it is crucial to proceeding on to the end. When defeated, the Masterhop drops the Greed Inducement Device.

Strategy

Throw the Pikmin on to the Masterhop when it lands. When it rises, whistle or get on Oatchi to save the Pikmin. Rock Pikmin are usually the ideal choice, but if you have Blue Pikmin while in the Seafloor Resort, use them instead. The Masterhop creates puddles of water on the ground, like the Quaggled Mireclops from Pikmin 3, and this will drown the Rock Pikmin.

The Masterhop then appears again in the Giant's Hearth, this time above ground with a second one. They are both near sprinklers, but they do not need to be shut off to defeat them. Just rush and whistle as normal but the sprinklers will make all Pikmin except for Blue Pikmin panic.
