Avatars are a type of Cosmetic Items in Paladins. They are small pictures used for the player's profile which are displayed near the player name. Players can choose which avatar is displayed from the Avatar tab in the player's loadout in their profile.

Trivia
- Several avatars were created by community members.
- The Cutesy Maeve avatar was created by MECHii / Mechiiko.[2][3]
- The Cutesy Snek avatar was created by Rubiini.[2]
- The various "DantheBros" avatars were obviously made by the user DanTheBros.
- The entirety of the Community 2021 Chest was created by various community members. Credits can be found on the chest's page.
- Although the second set of DanTheBros avatars were presented in the Monstercat update notes, they were not made available for purchase like the first set until about halfway through the Consetllations update. All that was ever said as to why was that "a slight roadblock" was run into, but this wasn't elaborated on whatsoever.[4]
- Many avatars feature unique versions of champions not available as skins, these include the Survivor, Greaser Lex, Groovy Grover, Grohk Rock, Popstar Skye, Celebrity Io, Termineaster, Beevie, Festive Menorah, First Fruits, Holiday Cheer, Ruckus' New Year, Charmed, I'm Sure, Autumn Maeve, Lovely Azaan, Lovely Viktor, St. Barik's Day, Snuggle Up, Sun, Sand, and Salt, Life and Death, Cutesy Snek, Hallowed Vatu, Hallowed Willo, Dark Embrace Bomb King, and Dark Embrace Pip avatars.
- Some avatars are based on developers of the game, this includes:
- Adanas the Balance-Master, based on Kevin Meier, a former game designer who went by "Adanas", with the avatar being based on his appearance in the A Tigron's Tale Update Show.
- Tyra-nova, based on Amanda Renzelman, a former community manager who went by "Romanova" or "Rose", with the avatar being based on her appearance in The Damned Frontier Update Show.
- Gentleman Raum, based on Rayph Beisner, the game's art director who goes by "ThunderBrush", with the avatar being based on his appearance in The Damned Frontier Update Show.
- The Kitsune, GG Magree Skye, and Malicious Software avatars all appear as purchasable animated avatars in the Steam Point Shop.
- Meanwhile, artwork from The King, White Knight, and I WUV YOU avatars all appear in several Steam emoticons.
- The Io Love You and A-Vora-Ble avatars notably feature the plush Io and Vora on the wrong arms of Cuddly Yagorath.
- The Mirror Mirror avatar references the Magic Mirror from Snow White.
- The That Damned Smile avatar references the meme of the same name.
- The Eye of Saurus avatar references the Eye of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings.
