Mappy (マッピー Mappī) is the protagonist of the Mappy series. He has made numerous crossover appearances in the Pac-Man series.
Appearances alongside Pac-Man
Pac-Man World Rally

Mappy is an unlockable character in the PSP version of Pac-Man World Rally. He is unlocked by beating all cups on Normal difficulty.
Pac-Man E1 Grand Prix

In Pac-Man E1 Grand Prix, Mappy will give Pac-Man a ticket if he is caught violating traffic laws.
Pac-Man Arrangement +

Portraits of Mappy, Goro, and Meowky appear on the walls of some levels. Said levels are based on the red-roofed house from the original Mappy arcade game.
Super Smash Bros. series

Much of Pac-Man's moveset is based on Mappy. His Up-Special lets him bounce on trampolines identically to how Mappy does, and one of his taunts summons an 8-bit Mappy sprite.
Pac-Man + Tournaments

In the "CUTE" Maze, Mappy makes an appearance as a bonus item, which can be collected for 50 points.
Pac-Man 99

Two DLC graphic skins for Pac-Man 99 are based on the original Mappy game (titled "Namco Classic 2") and Hopping Mappy; replacing Pac-Man with Mappy, among other thematic changes.
Catalog IP games
Mappy and Pac-Man appear alongside each other in many games that were released through the Namco Catalog IP program. Some notable appearances include the following:
- Mappy Showdown! Neo-Nyamco Gang (2015) - Blinky and Inky appear as bosses in this game. Pac-Man is also an unlockable character.
- Hippari Mappy Daisakusen (2015) - Pac-Man characters appear in the game, in similar fashion to Mappy Showdown!.
- Touch the Mappy (2016) - Features minor references to Pac-Man in-game. A later 2018 version of the game, Touch the Mappy with 80's Dot Stars, features a graphical skin based on Pac-Man.
- Pixel Runner! (2018) - Mappy, Goro, and Meowky are unlockable characters, appearing alongside Pac-Man and the Ghost Gang.
Trivia
- Mappy was originally going to appear in Pac-Man World, but was cut out later in development. A design document lays out how he would appear in-game, which is seemingly the same as how Jr. Pac-Man is captured in the final release.
- In the Famicom game Mappy Kids (1989), Pac-Man makes a cameo appearance in a spot-the-difference minigame, and Ghosts appear in the crowd of the sumo wrestling minigame.
- His name Mappy comes from Mappo (マッポ), a japanese term for policemen.
