"The Last Lesson! Impact Inherited" is the 1122nd episode of the One Piece anime.
Short Summary
As Pizarro prepares his attack on the Marine ship, Garp gives his men some instructions. Once he attacks Pizarro, Koby, after remembering his harsh training, unleashes a powerful Armament Haki attack on the giant stone hand to help and protect their ship. Garp then orders them to leave him behind, reminding them of what is important. Meanwhile, a Marine Fleet approaches Egghead.
Long Summary
As Koby watches in horror as Pizarro prepares to crush the Marine ship, killing all people onboard, he reminisces on a lesson Garp taught him. In a hypothetical situation, Koby was willing to sacrifice himself to save multiple civilian lives. Garp scolded him, teaching him self-preservation and rescuing youth even if the elderly are sacrificed. However, Koby later sacrificed himself to Blackbeard to save his fellow Marines.
In the present, Garp creates a plan to stop Pizarro, ordering his men to follow his plan. As Garp punches Pizarro with a powerful attack, splitting the Hachinosu skull in half, Koby works to attack Pizarro's hand. Koby struggles to find a way to destroy the hand, but remembers Garp's words. Garp previously declared Koby the future of the Marines, noticing that Koby had been training on his own and punching battleships just like him. Inspired by Garp, he unleashes a powerful Armament Haki attack destroying the hand. Helmeppo rescues Koby and Grus clears the debris that falls from the sky.
The Marines rejoice, declaring the rescue mission a success, but Garp orders the ship to leave him behind on Hachinosu. Koby remembers Garp's lesson, where Garp taught him to value his own survival not as an act of selfishness, but so he could continue saving others. Sacrificing himself to save the lives of his younger Marines, he sends a final message to his men, declaring them the future of the Marines, before Kuzan captures him, freezing him solid.
