Arlong Park was the Arlong Pirates' base of operations. It was located on the Conomi Islands. This building, boasting several stories and their Jolly Roger at the top, was conspicuously placed at the coast to show that they had no fear of the law.[1] The entire building was destroyed by Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Ono, smashing Arlong through five stories downwards.[2]
Arlong Park was constructed along the coastline, east of Cocoyasi Village[3] with an outer pool connected to the open sea—allowing for Momoo to go in and out—secured by a pair of steel gates. Nami's charting room was on the upper floors of the building; it was later destroyed by Luffy during his fight with Arlong. Overall, Arlong Park's design resembles Sabaody Park, a similarity Nami noticed. The building itself was modeled after the main building in Sabaody Park. This was due to the crew's childhood desire to become accepted into the human society, and mirrored the cruelty of Sabaody Archipelago's slave-trade.[4]
The East Gate is the only entrance from the island; it was surrounded by paddy fields.[5] It was destroyed by Monkey D. Luffy.[6]
Weapon Room
The Weapon Room, located on the first floor, held Zoro's Wado Ichimonji while he was imprisoned, until it was returned to him by Nami.[7] The room also stored the Kiribachi, along with several katana.[8]
Map Room
The Map Room, located on the fifth floor, was where Nami was forced to draw maps for the pirates—Arlong's intention being to confine her there for the rest of her life. Luffy could sense Nami's sorrow that lingered in the room, even noting that the pen she used was stained with blood.[9]

Arlong Park was modeled after Sabaody Park, a place that Arlong, Hatchan, Chew, and Kuroobi had once admired and envied as children, barred from entering simply because they were Fish-Men.[10][11] A decade before the Arlong Park arc, Arlong led his pirate crew to the East Blue on an island called Cocoyasi Village, where he initiated his plan to conquer and rule over humans.[12] He started with the brutal extortion of the residents of Cocoyasi Village. Adults were forced to pay 100,000, and children 50,000, or they would face execution at the hands of his men. Bell-mère attempted to stop Arlong but was forced into the ultimate sacrifice. She decided to pay for Nami and Nojiko, her adoptive daughters, and offer her own life. Arlong shot her in front of her children, making an example of her disobedience.[13]
Soon after, Arlong discovered Nami's extraordinary gift for cartography and forcibly conscripted her into his service, appointing her the crew’s mapmaker. He falsely promised her and her village's freedom if she raised 100,000,000 for him within 8 years. During this time, Arlong established his domain on Cocoyasi Village, with a number of smaller villages in the vicinity also under his control. He dismantled his original galleon and repurposed the materials to build Arlong Park, an eight-story building that served as his headquarters. From Arlong Park, he planned to dominate the East Blue using superior underwater tactics enabled by the maps drawn by Nami that charted underwater terrain.[14]

Monkey D. Luffy, along with Roronoa Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp, launched an assault to attempt to rescue Nami from the grip of the Arlong Pirates. In the climactic battle, Luffy defeated Arlong and obliterated the Map Room where Nami had spent years in forced servitude, symbolically freeing her from her torment. The destruction extended to Arlong Park itself, which was reduced to rubble.[15] Following Arlong's defeat, the Marines arrested the remaining members of his crew, with only Hatchan managing to evade capture.[16]
