PET ROCK CHAMPION is a quest in OMORI. It is one of the many optional FARAWAY TOWN sidequests, available starting from the morning segment of THREE DAYS LEFT after buying HERO’S GIFT from HOBBEEZ.

STORY
If SUNNY has bought a PET ROCK from SHOPKEEP for $10.00 and equips it to his charm slot, this will enable the sidequest starting with KEL informing SUNNY the rules and basics of PET ROCKS.
The minigame itself is basically a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors, with increasing damage each time a player earns a consecutive win on a round. Though the outcome ultimately depends on the player's luck, and opponents can be challenged again as many times as possible until SUNNY defeats them.
The primary objective is to battle other PET ROCK players throughout FARAWAY TOWN to become the "Pet Rock Master". There is no specified order on which opponents SUNNY should tackle first. However, there are four known "veterans" that need to be challenged for quest completion, as well as the champion awaiting him.
REWARD
VETERAN BATTLES
Once SUNNY has battled at least four opponents, return to SHOPKEEP and he will tell him about the four veterans of PET ROCKS. This unlocks challenges against FIX-IT GUY, GLASSES MAN, and CUTE GIRL. Defeat them and SHOPKEEP faces SUNNY himself as the last of the four mentioned veterans.
CHAMPION BATTLE
Upon defeating SHOPKEEP, he congratulates SUNNY on his victory and rewards him with the NOSTALGIC CD. However, it is revealed that there is one last veteran SUNNY must face, which is none other than the OTHERMART LADY.
Head over to OTHERMART and interact with her. Doing so will initiate the final challenge of the sidequest. Upon defeating her, OTHERMART LADY rewards SUNNY with a "YOU ROCK" CAP and the sidequest is completed. This will also yield the achievement dubbed The Very Best, like no one ever was.

- PET ROCK CHAMPION is one of few FARAWAY TOWN sidequests not required for completion of the Universally Loved achievement.
- However, finishing this sidequest is necessary for the Music Connoisseur of Sorts achievement, as defeating SHOPKEEP yields one of the thirteen available CDs required.
- DAPHNE, BOWEN, and TUCKER can only be challenged if their sidequests are already completed beforehand, that being HIDE AND SEEK and MEDICATION respectively.
