HOUSEFLY is an enemy in OMORI. It is one of the few enemies fought within FARAWAY TOWN, only through FARAWAY PLAZA's OTHERMART.

PROFILE

Similarly to CHICKEN? and RABBIT?, HOUSEFLY is an insect that takes on the appearance of a real-life housefly. The HOUSEFLY doesn't attack, but may cause SUNNY to become angry or accidentally damage himself.

STORY

HOUSEFLIES are only fightable if SUNNY decides to take the part-time job from OTHERMART LADY in OTHERMART, where he needs to kill the flies with a flyswatter.

Every turn, each enemy will start by trying to use the skill listed at the top. If the calculation fails, they move on to the second skill and so on, until reaching the final skill which is guaranteed to activate. Each calculation is done independently from the previous ones, so the added percentage is not 100%.

• The HOUSEFLY is one of the few enemies that uses an actual photo of real-life creature for its appearance instead of the artstyle the game uses. The others consist of RABBIT?, CHICKEN?, and WASP.
• Like all enemies in FARAWAY TOWN, HOUSEFLIES were originally intended to have emotion states. These were scrapped for unknown reasons, but can still be accessed by hacking or through using mods.
• They are one of the weakest enemies in the entire game, only able to deal 1 damage, and going down in one hit. The other is HUMPHREY (UVULA).
• Unlike other enemies in FARAWAY, being defeated by HOUSEFLIES will lead to the GAME OVER screen.
