Zaiga (Kor. 자이가) was a werewolf warrior who served Maduke.
Appearance
Zaiga was an elderly warrior with pale skin, sunken eyes, brown swept-back hair, and a long beard which was kept in several braids. He wore a white hooded robe with white pants.
Personality
Zaiga was a cunning and ruthless person. This was evidenced when he allowed Raizel to leave so that his crew could focus on Raskreia and Kei[1]. He showed little concern when Raskreia maimed one of his subordinates. According to Muzaka, Zaiga and Maduke created rifts within the clan through incessant scheming.
Background
Zaiga was one of the most powerful werewolves in his clan. He contended for the Lord's position but lost to Muzaka and Maduke[2]. Later on, he accepted physical modification and gained new powers.
Plot Overview
- Zaiga was present when Maduke summoned all the warriors together and declared Kentas a traitor to him and their entire clan[3]. He was also gathered along with the other warriors in the throne room when Dorant reported to Maduke about Lunark's disappearance[4]. He left with the other werewolves when ordered to prepare for Muzaka's arrival. Zaiga and a group of werewolves informed Maduke that their sensors had detected something approaching their territory at incredible speed[5].
- Raizel was on his way to look for M-21 when he reached a wooded area. As he was moving through the forest, a number of paper talismans on the trees started glowing. They caused a large explosion that Raizel escaped. Zaiga appeared before him, disappointed that he was not Muzaka, and was about to engage in a fight when Kei and Raskreia appeared[6].
- Bashum and Gaura, unaware of the identities of the nobles before them, made insulting comments before being reprimanded by Zaiga. Zaiga told them to watch their words since even though they were enemies they were not people they should take lightly. Zaiga asked why they'd come to their territory. When Raizel left, he prevented Bashum and Gaura from stopping him to make the fight easier. He asked Raskreia why she was here and wondered if she'd gone insane when hearing that it was to avenge Rajak's death. When Rozaria destroyed the castle he chided Raskreia for doing so[7].
- He then ordered Gaura to go kill Rozaria. Zaiga attacked Raskreia but instead ended up battling Kei. He was happy to be facing the strongest of the clan leaders and went on about how pleased he was to be able to face such an opponent, but squirmed when told by him that all werewolves said the same thing. Bashum who watched the battle was impressed by Kei's strength against Zaiga who once challenged Maduke and Muzaka for the title of Lord of their people[8]. Zaiga was also impressed by Kei's strength, stating that it had been a long time since he had fought so hard. After going all out, he was stopped by Muzaka's arrival[9].
- Zaiga was unhappy to see Muzaka and thought he needed more time to recover, but Muzaka was aware of his regenerative ability and attacked him unrelentingly while Kei and Raskreia stood to the side. Despite using all the tricks at his disposal, he was defeated. Muzaka chided him for using their people as test subjects to satisfy his own greed. Seeing that Zaiga was unrepentant, Muzaka sliced him into pieces as Bashum, Raskreia and Kei looked on[10].

Powers & Abilities
Zaiga was a very powerful werewolf warrior, and one of the most powerful of the werewolves. He competed against Muzaka and Maduke over the title of Lord but lost. He was capable of easily matching the strongest noble clan leader, Kei Ru, in battle. After undergoing physical modification he became so powerful that Maduke believed it was beyond Muzaka to beat him. He claimed that when at full strength, he could beat Muzaka.
Sorcery

He was adept at spell casting and sorcery. One of his skills involved using paper talismans that exploded after coming in contact with the enemy[11]. He was shown to cast spells that entailed golden runes to appear and formed a ring around him. He could also create crimson coloured energy blasts and discharge electricity. Additionally, he could create a wall with his aura to shield himself against the impact of enemy attacks.
Transformation
Like all werewolves, Zaiga can transform his body into a much larger, more muscular and overall a more wolf-like form.
Physical Prowess
Zaiga possessed immense physical strength, able to easily match Kei in strength during their battle. His speed was so great that he could keep up with him easily. He also had incredible stamina, able to face off against Muzaka right after fighting Kei to a standstill.
- Regeneration: After undergoing physical modification, Zaiga's (by his own claim) regenerative ability became very powerful. Muzaka stated that normally, his regeneration shouldn't be that fast. Despite this he talked to buy time as he healed.

Aura Manipulation
As a warrior, Zaiga possessed an immense amount of spiritual energy that was equal to clan leaders. Most likely the strongest among the werewolf warriors, he possessed an ability to summon phantom wolves. Zaiga's manifested as a pack of gold-coloured wolves. He used it to successfully counter Kei's ultimate attack[12].
