M-24 was a modified human who was part of the M-Series in the Union though he ended up betraying them.
Appearance
M-24 was a large, bald, muscular man with purplish-pink skin which was veiny at certain parts like his cheeks. He had an angular jaw and wore a black fedora with a grey turtleneck sweater, a black jacket, and dark pants. In flashbacks he was also seen in a white tank top and loose pants.
Personality
Though seen as a heartless and cruel person at the beginning of his appearance, M-24 was shown to be compassionate and caring towards humans, especially kids, shortly before his death. This was likely due to his assumption that he had a younger brother.
He was still impulsive, and needed M-21 to keep him from acting out at times. Yet, before his death, he told M-21 to trust Raizel and Frankenstein, showing that he was greater at judging people than he appeared to be.
Background
M-24 was one of the one hundred humans that were experimented on by the Union as part of the M-Series, one of Crombel's projects. He and M-21 were the only survivors and were classified as failed experiments within the Union. However, he had developed the unique ability of minor mind control as a side-effect of the experimentation.
Plot Overview
- M-21 and M-24 arrived in the city with the mission to find the casket thieves had stolen from the Union. They interrogated one of the thieves and M-24 turned him into an infected after they were done[1]. Later, M-24 and M-21 watched over with amusement as the infected confronted Shinwoo after attacking Yuna in an attempt to feed[2]. Once the children managed to flee and the infected fed, M-24 asked M-21 whether they should report what had occurred. They decided not to so they could have more fun[3].
- M-21 and M-24 weren't able to find leads on the missing coffin when they spotted the familiar Ye Ran uniform on some students[4]. They found Raizel and the children and stood in their way but were passed by. Though they ended up doing nothing, M-24 noticed something off about Raizel[5]. Then they gave the infected Shinwoo's address.
- After the infected's failure at getting Shinwoo, M-24 and M-21 kidnapped Yuna[6] with M-24 using his mind control. They baited Shinwoo out to set up a match between him and the infected. However, their amusement was interrupted as they sensed a large amount of aura released nearby. The two of them followed its beckon and found themselves face-to-face with Raizel and Frankenstein[7]. Frankenstein warned them to stay away from the children but instead they attacked and were defeated. After they were spared, M-24 called off the infected via mind link[8].
- M-24 expressed concern over M-21's wounds and they discussed the identities of the people they had just encountered[9]. Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by Jake and Mari, who had come to check on them. They hurled insults at the duo who were considered failed experiments ready for disposal within the Union. M-21 and M-24 remained silent in front of their superiors and only gave them minimal information[10].
- Afterwards, Jake triggered a massacre in the hospital by the infected and threw the blame onto M-24[11]. M-24 got mad at the two due to those actions but couldn't do anything about it. When asked about the 'witnesses' they let go, they denied that the children had actually seen anything and thus there was no need to kill them[12]. At night, when they weren't with them, M-24 learnt about Jake's past from M-21 and then received a call from a telemarketer. The duo watched as Jake waited for full-recovery after his encounter with Frankenstein[13]. When M-24 had to take pills to prevent his body from degenerating, Jake mocked him.
- The two left the room and discussed the meaning of everything that had occurred, agreeing on keeping silent about the children. They contacted the two they'd encountered before via Yuna's phone[14]. A meeting followed where they informed them about the children still being in danger and Frankenstein gave them his contact information, getting back Yuna's phone[15]. After the meeting, they planned to get rid of the infected to prevent their powers from being revealed and called Frankenstein to give him some more information. Frankenstein and Raizel went to see them again, with Frankenstein giving them the key to a safe house[16].
- Meanwhile, Dr. Crombel arrived and learned of the presence of two M-series specimens, and thus wished to check his old experiments. M-24 and M-21 reluctantly visited the doctor in order to remove suspicion after Jake and Mari disclosed they had already learned from the infected that the duo lured out the children before. They managed to temporarily evade Dr. Crombel's checking but soon got tangled in Jake and Mari's new plan[17].
- M-21 and M-24 planned a getaway from the Union, discussing the chances of fleeing successfully. All they could think of was to create a diversion, collect as many pills as they could from the research base to prevent M-24's body from degenerating, and then escape. M-24 suggested getting help from Raizel and Frankenstein, convincing M-21 that although it was risky, it was much better trusting them compared to the Union. However, their plan was not put to action as Jake and Mari arrived to implement their own plan of luring out the children. M-21 received a call at that moment revealing that he had a phone which wasn't Union distributed, but when Jake answered it it was just another telemarketer[18].
- The plan consisted of the group splitting up into two to observe the people passing by so that they could find the children, with earpieces to communicate within 3km. M-24 was with Jake and the infected since Jake and Mari didn't trust him and M-21 which led to M-24 trying to distract Jake when he saw the children and failing. The children were kidnapped as both M-24 and M-21 failed to contact and warn Frankenstein of the danger. To prevent the children from being killed, M-21 proposed a plan to use them to lure out the 'fourth kid', Raizel, which Mari agreed with[19].
- While M-21 and Mari waited outside, M-24 watched Jake torture the children. He was unable to bear watching what was happening and attacked Jake to save the children[20]. With Jake hot in pursuit, M-24 decided to stay back and hold him off, buying time for the children to flee. However he was no match for Jake and was seriously injured[21]. Despite that, he attempted once more to save the children from Jake who had caught up with them. This time, his heart was punctured by Jake and part of the building collapsed on him[22].
- After Raizel saved the children and M-21 arrived, M-24 managed to contact with him one last time via the communicating device. He advised M-21 to stick with Raizel and Frankenstein and apologised for being unable to help achieve their dream - finding the identities of the entire M-series. Finishing his last words, M-24 met his demise[23].
- It was shown that M-24 was brought back to the laboratory by Dr. Crombel some time after his battle with Jake. After a big lapse of time, his body was shown in Crombel's lab again, though he managed to escape from the laboratory[24]. He was injured in the process as he had to fight many strong enhanced humans. However, after continuous suspicious activity, it was revealed that it wasn't M-24 but Mark who had imbibed M-24's cells to impersonate him and fulfil Dr. Crombel's mission of infiltrating Frankenstein's household to get his research data[25].
- M-24 was shown during a flashback M-21 had of their time in the Union. M-21 recalled how they lost their comrades to cruel experiments, how the two of them were beaten by other agents, and how they were labelled as disposable trash [26].

- Cadis Etrama Di Raizel: M-24 was wary of him due to the power he displayed when warning them to stay away from the children, however, he also viewed him as a possible way to escape the Union.
- Alpha: He is M-24's younger brother.
- Dr. Crombel: He was part of the M-Series created by Dr. Crombel and was wary of him.
- Frankenstein: M-24 was wary of him due to the power he and Raizel displayed when warning them to stay away from the children, however, he also viewed him as a possible way to escape the Union.
- Infected: M-24 was the infected's 'creator'. He looked down on the infected and they did not have any fondness for each other.
- Jake: As Jake was a higher up in the Union, M-24 was looked down on and mocked often. They mutually disliked each other.
- M-21: M-24 and M-21 shared a very close relationship as they were the only two remaining from their group. They shared the same dream of finding their comrades' names. He even wished for M-21 to call him 'older brother' because he believed that previously in his life, he had younger siblings.
- M-Series: He was part of the series of experiments and cared for the others in it. They all appeared to be very close.
- Mari: Mari, like most higher ups, looked down upon M-21 though she only treated him coldly compared to Jake's actions.
- The Children: Although he kidnapped the children with M-21 and did not care for them at first, seeing them as entertainment, after the warning from Frankenstein and Raizel he stayed away from them. He also sacrificed himself to protect them from Jake and may have come to care for them for the same reason he considered M-21 to be like a younger brother.

Powers & Abilities
He was classified as a failed experiment. However, he developed and honed his new abilities in secret for 3 years[27] without informing other Union members. Unknown to them, he actually possessed a high degree of physical strength and the ability of mind control.
It was also revealed that he had the ability to infect normal humans through his bites, turning them into mutants, and was able to maintain command over them through mind control. Given the nature of his powers and a statement made by Dr. Crombel, it can be assumed that M-24's abilities were based on those of the nobles.
His overall abilities (specifically his ability to infect people through a bite), however, were those that were traditionally associated with vampires. It was also mentioned that his body couldn't last more than 72 hours without pills supplied from the Union[28].
Physical Prowess
As an enhanced human, M-24 had enhanced physical strength. He was easily able to destroy large walls and put up a fight against Jake who was relatively stronger than him.
Telepathy
- Mind Control: M-24's special skill was mind control. Even though it was relatively weak when compared to that of nobles, it was still effective against ordinary humans. M-21 could also use it to help others develop a resistance against being controlled like with M-21.
- Mind Link: M-24 was able to give orders to the infected via his mind link. This ability is similar to the contractor-contractee mind link.
