Mama is the companion of the Girl of Light in NieR Reincarnation. She seems to know about The Cage and acts as a guide. She has a free-spirited side where she enjoys the scenery and messes with the decorations about.

Appearance
Mama has the appearance of a floating, ghostlike being—a white sheet with black holes for eyes and two extendable black arms.

It is revealed that throughout the first half of The Girl and the Monster arc Mama is actually guiding Levania, who acquired Fio's human body after successfully devouring her dreams. She is not present throughout the second half, as Fio and Levania are guided by Carrier.

During The People and the World, it is revealed that Mama's true form is Pod 006, a tactical support unit tasked with assisting YoRHa No.10 Type H with protecting the server containing humanity's data on the Moon.

- In NieR:Automata, the Pod skin Mama (Item) can be considered a hint about Mama's true identity as a Pod unit, a fact later revealed in Reincarnation's The People and the World arc.
