4S is a unit in NieR:Automata, an S Type Scanner Android model encountered in the Forest Zone while playing through Route C during the "Reconnaissance Squad" quest.

Description

After the fall of the Bunker, 4S, a similar model android to 9S, has taken refuge at the Forest Castle. Even though the YoRHa squad has been destroyed, he still trying to gather data on the enemy, and since there's only so much he can do on his own, he has asked 9S for help. Gather new enemy intel, and give it to 4S at he Forest Castle

Notes

  • Encountered only in Route C, as the accompanying sidequest is exclusive to 9S.
    • If 4S is interacted with while playing as A2, he will note that she is an older YoRHa type android, but will also mention that it isn't important at the moment. Only 9S can complete this quest.
