The Forest Zone is a location in NieR:Automata, encountered after fighting Adam and Eve underneath the City Ruins. The area is home to a group of highly isolationist machines that established a kingdom at the behest of their "king", subsequently claiming the castle deeper in.
It also serves as the site of the Meat Box during the second half of the game.
Location
The Forest Zone is a massive sprawling area with various points of interest and landmarks. The main entrance will have the player go through the Commercial Building gate after bumping into Emil for the first time and fighting your way to the first clearing. Alternatively, you can reach the other end of the forest by taking the great crumbling bridge from the Forest Castle.
