SCENE cont'd | Gordon looks again and finds the letter C in the nest, as Big Bird always sleeps with the letter of the day ("Don't you?"). Big Bird still isn't comfortable and Gordon looks again, this time finding a cactus! Gordon thinks because of his prickly spines, Big Bird can't sleep. Insulted, the cactus heads back to the desert. Gordon then finds a number 1 (the number of the day), followed by one pineapple. Gordon points out that the fruit is also prickly and she leaves for home, Hawaii. The portion with the cactus was cut in the HBO version. |
