SCENE | Leela welcomes the viewer while she does some laundry work. Elmo is nearby with a tub of water, pretending he's at the beach and Baby David is swimming (using floaties). Zoe comes by with Rocco, who to swim like Baby David. Zoe puts him in the water and he sinks to the bottom. Leela pulls him out and explains that rocks aren't able to float. Elmo is eager to get rid of Rocco, but Rocco "tells" Zoe he could float if he had some kind of boat. Leela suggests they do an experiment to find him a boat and the two monsters sing about making "Rocco's Boat." |

SCENE cont'd | Elmo immediately gets an idea and brings two pencils to the tub, recalling that wood can float. Leela places them in the water and they see that they do float. She places Rocco on them, but he can't balance on them and sinks again. The monsters sing a reprise of "Rocco's Boat" and think some more. |

SCENE cont'd | Leela suggests that they get something wider and flatter for him to balance on. Zoe gets an idea and runs off, asking Elmo to hold Rocco's hand while she's gone (but he apparently ends up touching his butt instead). Zoe returns with a sheet of paper, which floats, but sinks when Rocco is placed on it. |

SCENE cont'd | After another reprise of "Rocco's Boat," they decide they need something that's stronger than paper, but the same dimensions. Zoe leaves (asking Elmo to hum in Rocco's ear, but he ends up humming into his nostrils) and returns with some tin foil. They place Rocco on it and it sinks again. Elmo is ready to try something else and starts singing, but Zoe is downtrodden, saying Rocco is giving up. Elmo encourages her to press onward and he gets the idea to combine the materials they already have instead of using new things. They use the pencils and tin foil to make a boat and Rocco is able to float on it! Leela leads them in a final reprise of "Rocco's Boat." |
