COLD OPEN What's the Word on the Street?: Sibling

SCENE In the yard, Baby Bear and his little sister Curly draw pictures, but when Baby Bear asks her for a crayon, she refuses to give it up. This evolves into a tug-o-war over it, which Curly wins. Baby Bear responds by taking the rest of the crayons away, making Curly cry. Chris and his twin Christy observe this and tell him they can relate to the struggles of dealing with siblings. They recall when they were babies who hated to share with each other. They realize through song ("Share Share") that there's plenty of good aspects of sharing and make up. Baby Bear decides to follow their example and share with his sister.

SCENE cont'd Baby Bear goes back to the table, ready to share, when he finds Curly is sitting in his seat. He gets upset ("You know how particular I am about chairs"!) and demands she move, but she refuses. The two struggle some more and Curly comes out on top. Baby Bear has had it and declares he no longer wants to be related to her, though Curly doesn't mind. Chris and Christy stop Baby Bear and tell him they used to wish they were only children. In another flashback, the two (now slightly older) sing about how great it'd be "If I Didn't Have You"...only to realize they'd be lonely without the other. Baby Bear feels the same way and goes to make amends.

SCENE cont'd Baby Bear approaches Curly with an idea: forget about drawing and play a game instead. He "calls" for a round of tag (which states it legally binding), though Curly refuses. They argue before Curly storms off. Baby Bear wonders why being siblings is so hard, noting how well Chris and Christy get along. The two note they're not always simpatico and even start arguing over who's the most stubborn. Despite their differences, they claim they can still find common ground. Baby Bear anticipates another flashback and the two recall their teenage years. The two teens fight over what music to play, when they tune into some jazz music, which they both enjoy. Surprised, they sing "We Like This." Baby Bear realizes that even though he and Curly are different, they still have fun together and will always have each other.
SCENE cont'd Curly comes back, wishing to play. She suggests something they'll both enjoy - freeze tag! As the two bears run off, Chris and Christy argue over where to get lunch, setting on someplace they know they'll like - mom's.
