Big Bird goes into detail about the many things Mr. Hooper did: he made the best birdseed milkshakes, never got too upset when Big Bird got his name wrong, and told him stories about when he was a kid, all seen in a series of flashbacks. Birdelli wonders what happened to him, and Big Bird says that he died so the picture is extra special. "I can't say goodbye to you again, Mr. Hooper," he softly tells the picture. Mr. Birdelli understands, but wishes to instead exchange his birdseed for drawing lessons from Big Bird. As the first lesson begins, Maria announces the sponsors.
