COLD OPEN Today on Sesame Street, Big Bird is pretending to be a daddy and Rosita is the mommy. Elmo, their pretend baby, goo-goos from his carriage before he starts crying. Big Bird abruptly decides to take a walk in the park, cueing his appearance during the opening theme...
SCENE 1 Baby Elmo continues bawling and Big Bird and Rosita aren't sure what they should do. Elmo briefly breaks character to suggest they should figure out why he's crying. The pretend parents try playing with their baby and giving him his blanket, but neither idea works. Rosita then thinks he may be hungry, and Big Bird almost heads to Hooper's Store for some potato chips until Elmo breaks character again to remind them what babies usually like. They give him his bottle, and Baby Elmo settles down.

Elmo clarifies: "Baby said to try putting Baby to sleep, Big Bird, but Baby didn't say it was going to be easy!" Rosita leaves to get some advice from someone with parenting experience.
