SCENE 1 | In the morning, Maria and Luis see Chip and Dip meowing in hunger at their living room window. Maria recalls giving them some milk a little while ago and now, they're always coming back for more. She sees this as a potential problem, but Luis believes they should just give the cats something to drink for now. Once the window is opened, the cats complain that it's too cold outside, so Luis lets them in for some warmth. Soon they're in the couple's dining room wearing napkins, requesting even more food and some yarn to play with. |

Luis tries to get in some writing before they have to open the Fix-It Shop, but Chip and Dip's snoring prevents him from concentrating.
